The Petersfield Sewing Bee is back for its 10th year and launches on Friday 26th April
The Petersfield Sewing Bee consists of 2 challenges (suitable for all abilities), and can be machine or hand sewn.
The challenges are due back between Fri 10th May and 31st May for display and judging.
There will be a Finals event day on Sun 9th June
This is a fun competition where we encourage you to release your creativity and the only pressure is what you may give yourself!
Your pack may be collected on or after 26th April 2024

- Back for its 10th year, the Petersfield Sewing Bee is an annual event where we encourage you to ‘Release Your Creativity’ and have a go at the (top secret) challenges awaiting you!
- Launching on Friday 26th April – it is now time to reserve your pack by completing the online purchase or by popping into our shop in Lavant Street.
- This years ‘competition’ consists of 2 challenges which you are able to complete at home by hand or machine sewing.
- There is no pressure, other than the pressure you may give yourself!
- Once you receive your pack (which can also be posted) you have 3 weeks between each challenge to make and return your item for us to display in the shop.
- Your displayed works create such a buzz and can be very inspirational to everyone popping in to the shop. Each item is given a unique reference number and these are then judged by previous Sewing bee winners, our resident tutors and our customers.
- We have a finals day on Sunday 9th June, where your talents are celebrated and a variety of winners announced, however this whole event is really not about the ‘winning’ but by you trying something you perhaps haven’t tried before!
