DESCRIPTION:Perfect for a confident beginner. \nUse any pattern for stretch fabrics that you like to make a dress\, leggings\, T.Shirt\, skirt\, trousers\, hoodie\, top – ANYTHING – we can help you decide on a pattern if you don’t have one. \nLearn skills such as using a paper pattern\, importance of measuring\, cutting stretch fabric\, use of stretch stitches\, topstitching\, and a whole load of dressmaking terminology & skills with our wonderful tutor \nThe class includes tuition and use of our sewing machines & overlockers (or bring your own if you prefer). \nYou will need up to 4 metres of knit fabric\, depending on your pattern and we always have a nice selection of which a 10% workshop discount will apply. \n

DESCRIPTION:This class is perfect for anyone wanting to get the most from their sewing machine and  various feet that generally come as standard for you to experiment and learn lots of new skills. \nThe feet used during this class are: \n\nButtonhole Foot\nZipper / Piping Foot\nZig Zag Foot\n\nDon’t worry of you don’t have all the feet as listed\, you will still be able to complete the project. \nIn the process of learning about the various feet you will make a beautiful lined and piped bag with internal pocket\, straps and zip. \nEverything is included in the workshop fee\, we will contact you prior to the class to give you fabric options to enable us to cut everything out ready for you to enjoy sewing straight away. \n  \nJust remember to bring your machine and any feet you have\, or let us know if you’d like to use one of our machines. \n \n  \n

SUMMARY:Unlocking Overlocking  27th March - New venue
DESCRIPTION:A 2.5 hour class for you to gain knowledge on your own overlocker. Start off by learning how to thread your machine and adjusting tension. \nLearn about adjusting stitch length and diferential feed. \nOur tutor will guide you through a series of samples to help you master your overlocker including rolled hem & 3 and 4 thread overlocking. \nYour overlocker must be in working order \nPlease bring with you your overlocker\, thread\, power lead & foot pedal\, instruction book and tool kit (tweezers\, needle threader etc) all fabric samples etc are provided\, no need to bring anything else. \nWe have 3 overlockers that can be used on the day and will need to be reserved. \nPlease note: this is not a suitable class if you have a combined Overlock and Coverstitch machine\, please contact us for alternative suggestions \nNew Shop Location – 55 Station Road \nParking info: \nWe do have 2 short stay parking spaces to the rear of our new shop\, we must be mindful only to park in our spaces which will be identified as such. We share the rear space with many other businesses\, all with their own designated parking spaces – please do not park in these. \nNearest all the surrounding streets are Permit holders only – blue badge holders can park for as long as necessary. \nWe are situated : \n200m from Waitrose car park (max stay 3 hours) – 5 minute walk. \n300m from Swan Street car park (24 hrs) – 6 minute walk. \nSneaky free places to park: \n200m – North Road (off Station Road\, by Bentleys Dog Groomers) – permit holder or 1 hour FREE parking \n250m – College Street (outside the Good Intent on one way system) – 3 hours FREE Parking!! \n  \n
