DESCRIPTION:This Jewel Box design quilt is a perfect design to learn patchwork and quilting processes in your first step into the wonderful world of quilting. We are sure you wont stop at one! \nUsing a pre-cut 5-inch charm pack\, and co-ordinating fabric you will learn 2 basic blocks – Half Square Triangles and Checkerboard\, which make up this quilt design. \nYou will piece together the blocks\, step by step and learn the importance of precise seam allowances. \nOnce pieced together\, you will then learn about adding a border to complete the quilt top. \nYou will then ‘sandwich’ the quilt using batting and backing and use simple quilting effects with the sewing machine. \nWe will then show you how to finish off your quilt with binding. DESCRIPTION:A 3-hour class for you to gain knowledge on your own overlocker. Start off by learning how to thread your machine and adjusting tension. \nLearn about adjusting stitch length and diferential feed. \nOur tutor will guide you through a series of samples to help you master your overlocker including rolled hem & 3 and 4 thread overlocking. \nYour overlocker must be in working order \nPlease bring with you your overlocker\, thread\, power lead & foot pedal\, instruction book and tool kit (tweezers\, needle threader etc) all fabric samples etc are provided\, no need to bring anything else. \nWe have 3 overlockers that can be used on the day and will need to be reserved. \nPlease note: this is not a suitable class if you have a combined Overlock and Coverstitch machine\, please contact us for alternative suggestions \n

DESCRIPTION:Join Nicola from Stonehenge Bears to make a gorgeous traditional jointed mohair bear. \nWith English glass eyes and traditional cotter pin joints your gorgeous bear will be ready to take home at the end of the day. The bear is made with traditional German mohair similar to the bears pictured and a selection of paw pad colours is available to choose from on the day. \nThe bear is sewn mostly by machine although some hand sewing is required. Sewing machines and all other tools are provided. Full instruction and guidance is given but you must be confident using a sewing machine as scant seams are sewn throughout.. \nKits are available to purchase on the day if you wish to make more bears at home. \nNumbers are limited to ensure plenty of individual guidance and support throughout the bear making process. \n\nYou are required to purchase the kits (mohair\, pattern\, stuffing etc) on the day with £35 cash to Nicola.\nThe pattern and full instructions are yours to take away\, so you can make your own memory or heirloom bears at home afterwards.
