SUMMARY:Introduction to Patchwork & Applique - 24th June
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is perfect for anyone who wishes to extend their skills and is a follow on from our Quilt in a Day workshop. \nWhat you will learn: \n\n2 patchwork & 2 appliqué blocks\nAppliqué skills: tracing designs & using bondaweb\nPlacement and stitching around the appliqué designs\nUsing the rotary cutter\, ruler & board to perfect cutting skills.\nUsing a 1/4”  seam consistently to stitch blocks together\nCreate blocks with checkerboards & half square triangles\nMeasuring & Trimming\nQuilting skills using stitch in the ditch & diagonal lines.\n\nYou will need a selection of fat quarters of your choosing  (approx 6) including a light coloured one for the appliqué background. \nWe have a lovely selection of plain & patterned fabrics and you will receive 10% workshop discount on all fabrics purchased. \nBondaweb\, wadding and calico is included. \nNew Shop Location – 55 Station Road \nParking info: \nWe do have 2 short stay parking spaces to the rear of our new shop\, we must be mindful only to park in our spaces which will be identified as such. We share the rear space with many other businesses\, all with their own designated parking spaces – please do not park in these. \nNearest all the surrounding streets are Permit holders only – blue badge holders can park for as long as necessary. \nVisiting us for a full day workshop : \nPark in Swan Street car park (24 hrs) – 6 minute walk\, feel free to drop your machine etc to the rear of our shop before parking. \nSneaky free places to park: \n200m – North Road (off Station Road\, by Bentleys Dog Groomers) – permit holder or 1 hour FREE parking \n250m – College Street (outside the Good Intent on one way system) – 3 hours FREE Parking!! \n  \n  \n
