A 6 week after-school class suitable for all children aged from 11 years to 16 years.
This course is for 6 weeks from Wed Sept 8th – 4.30pm – 5.45pm – Wed 13th Oct 2021
The first 2 to 3 weeks will be spent on sewing basics and making small items using the sewing machine.
We will then encourage the attendees to consider a bigger project which they will work on each week, this could be a garment, bag, home item, up-cycling of garments etc or wherever their creativity takes them. Small class sizes mean that we are able to offer individual support to ensure skills are gained according to their interests etc.
The cost for each half term includes tuition and will also include fabrics for the small items made in the first 2 weeks and any bits/scraps etc needed for further projects.
There will be additional costs if the youngsters choose to make a garment, quilt or bag where specific fabrics, zips, trims and interfacings etc are required.
The full 6 week course must be booked and paid in advance and sadly there is no refund for classes not attended.
We are happy to act as assessors for skills gained towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award schemes (please note – the 13 hours required for skills gained will mean that 2 courses will need to be booked)
