Perfect for the confident beginner wanting to make their first quilt.
You will use squares and strips and piece together to make a block, learning the importance of precise seam allowances in this first step to quilting.
Once the blocks are pieced together, you will then learn about sashing, backing & quilting before finishing with binding.
The finished quilt size is approx 1m square
You will need:
40 x 5″ squares – brights, pastels, neutral, baby
14 x strips – plain plus 4 strips for binding
1.3m x 1.2m wadding
1.3m x 1.1m Backing
We will happily cut everything ready for you and help you chose fabrics, just let us know what you would like and of course we offer you a workshop discount.
You may use one of our lovely Janome 5060QDC workshop machines or bring your own.
We will keep you refreshed with beverages throughout the day, you will also have a half hour break for lunch in our snug.
Please feel free to bring your own lunch, or treat yourself to a Madeline’s Deli lunch, we will take your order mid morning and they will deliver to us in time for your break.
